The Festivals ability to do this was further augmented this year with the premier of the HBO documentary special titled One Love: JAMAICA Jazz and Blues Festival, which widened the Festivals audience from the several thousand who attend annually to the over 300 million viewers of the cable network. </p>

<p>The One Love documentary eases aside the curtain to the spectacle and entertainment at JAMAICA Jazz and Blues and takes the Festival audience behind the scenes where it allows them to delve into the making of one of the Caribbeans premiere music events.  One Love provides an acute lens through which to explore the Festival and is richly seasoned with glimpses of some of Jamaicas major tourist attractions.   </p>

<p>One Love captures the sights, sounds and most important the good vibrations that are at the core of the JAMAICA Jazz and Blues Festival &#8211; The Art of Music.  The insightful documentary also presents slices of the countrys history and its cultural strength.  Additionally, with HBOs prominence in creating an in-depth look at some of the worlds most popular music performances, the documentary cements the JAMAICA Jazz and Blues Festival as an important music event on the international landscape. </p>

<p>One Love: JAMAICA Jazz and Blues presents interviews with key planners, members of the audience interspersed with performances from the stellar 2011 line-up. The documentary features interviews with and snippets of performances by Maroon 5, Natalie Cole, Regina Belle, Diana King, Alison Hinds, Taurus Riley and Air Supply. Additionally, along with performances from the stars of the 2011 Festival, the documentary also presents previous performers at the JAMAICA Jazz and Blues such as Gladys Night, Lionel Richie, and Jon Secada. </p>

<p>One Love explores the time, lengthy planning process and intense labour that goes into creating the high calibre Festival. The documentary also showcases the Festivals strength as a unique musical event that features various genres of music and celebrated artistes from around the world, an excellent example of the Feativals diversity with its offering of Jazz, Reggae, R&amp;B, Adult Contemporary, Soul and Soca.  With the line-up already announced for 2012, patrons can expect the same at the upcoming installment. </p>

<p>By snagging international performers from across the world each year, the JAMAICA Jazz and Blues Festival has played a major role in bringing visitors to the island, a role highlighted by One Love.  </p>

<p>Walter Elmore, Chairman of the Art of Music Productions, the producers of the Festival, points out that JAMAICA Jazz and Blues is deliberately designed to allow patrons to enjoy not just the great music at the Festival, but also explore the numerous attractions that the island has to offer during the day. The Festival usually culminates by about 1:30 each night so that patrons can experience a great night of music and then wake up the next day and enjoy the diverse and authentic experiences, amazing people, and wonderful attractions that the country has to offer, he said. </p>

<p>One Love also promotes this concept.  Along with presenting the sights and sounds of the Festival, the documentary treks across the breath of the north coast and turns the lens on major attractions in Negril, Trelawny and St. Ann. Ricks Cafe, Cool Runnings Water Park, the Green Grotto Caves and Mystic Mountains are some of the attractions that are showcased, highlighting the diversity of attractions that can be found on the island.  </p>

<p>More and more, film and television shows are proving themselves as important to the promotion of the tourism product.  With viewership in over 23 countries, the promotion of Jamaica on an HBO special is a significant achievement, which was engineered through the partnership between HBO and the telecommunications company Flow.  </p>

<p>Indeed, through the celebrity interviews, One Love provides the rare opportunity of having major celebrities singing the islands praises, as they exalt the warmth of the people and the island. This therefore strengthens the Festivals importance for packing guests into the hotels far beyond the period of the Festival. John Lynch of the JTB remarks that the documentary presents a ant boost to the countrys marketing initiatives.  </p>

<p>One Love presents the music and culture, the attractions and natural beauty that Jamaica offers and will undoubtedly stir the interest of viewers to come and experience Jamaica first hand, he said. It provides tremendous exposure for destination JAMAICA, and it is critical that we continue to generate interest in the destination through innovative programmes.  &#13;<br />
<br />This years line-up includes international artistes such as Grammy Award winning Celine Dion, The Temptations featuring Dennis Edwards, Destra Garcia, Jully Black, Nicole Henry and more. </p>

<p>In recognition of Jamaica&#8217;s 50th anniversary of Independence, the Thursday night line-up will be dedicated to the history of Jamaican music with performances from across the various musical eras: ska, rocksteady, dub and reggae. Some Jamaicans scheduled to perform are Pluto Shervington, Luciano, Shaggy, Freddie McGregor, Etana, Half Pint, George Nook, Marcia Griffiths and many others. </p>

<p>The 2012 installment of the much celebrated JAMAICA Jazz and Blues Festival  The Art of Music will once again take over The Greenfield Stadium, Trelawny with three days of music and magic from January 26 &#8211; 28.</p>

<p> iDiscovery Media today announced the green lighting of a bold new show for its forthcoming launch of its Social TV Network, iDiscovery TV. </p>

<p>The interview show, Breaking It Down, will feature a wide range of activists, educators, artists and thought leaders for an innovative series of profiles that combine traditional profiles with moderated audience discussion. Both the interviews and the audience discussions for each topic will combine in a hybrid format for a full episode.  The initial order calls for 40 episodes, 8 of which will be in place for the premier launch of iDiscovery TV with additional segments available to the pre launch subscriber base.</p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>iDiscovery TV is investing a lot of its initial resources on Breaking It Down as a signature network show and is tapping Daniel Matalon to host and produce the series. Mr. Matalon is an Executive Producer for the network and provides similar duties for eMarketing TV, which was announced in December 2011, and is currently in pre production. </p>

<p>Daniels original approach to us in pitching a new style of interview show caught our attention for both its intellectual ambition and its innovative approach to audience involvement. <p> KWCUSA announced that Karaoke World Championships 2012 are being held in Finland, at Holiday Club Saimaa from 27th of November to 2nd of December. The exact dates and times are not final and are expected to be confirmed later. </p>

<p>Holiday Club Saimaa is only a one month old entertainment spa complex in the town of Lappeenranta, in its picturesque suburb called &#8220;Rauha&#8221; (which directly translates to &#8220;Peace&#8221; in English). Holiday Club Saimaa is the largest spa complex in the Northern Europe. </p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>Wendell Payne, President of KWCUSA, says, We are excited about the 2012 Karaoke World Championships and the later dates may provide us some opportunity for television that we didnt have last year. We are also putting in our bid to hold the Karaoke World Championships here in the USA in 2013. So we have a lot to do over the next 24 months. We fully anticipate winning the bid for 2013.</p>

<p>KWCUSA competition is currently underway in many states with anticipated expansion into all fifty states by the end of January 2012.  The current schedule calls for completion of state championships in May and Regional competitions in June and July. However KWCUSA will work with the possibility of 2nd season of Karaoke Battle USA on ABC and the later KWC dates to do whats best for all. </p>

Building and expanding on experience gained from Tomsradio.com, an early 21st century Swedish/American pioneer of internet radio, Radical combines user tailored music radio stations (like Pandora and Slacker) with on-demand playlist functionality (like Rhapsody and Spotify), and adds social networking and personal broadcasting capabilities. For the first time all of these functions will be available in one integrated service. Radical.FM will initially offer free personal radio services, with full Play-On-Demand functionality for a paid Premium subscription tier available at a later date. In addition, the patent pending LiveShare feature permits personal music streams to be shared in real-time and DeeJay allows a user to speak to all who are listening to their LiveShare stream. <p>My Stations was inspired by terrestrial radio programming practices and a standard audio mixing board. It works together with Blocked (Artists/Songs) to create unique personal radio stations, as well as with LiveShare to allow users to host their Stations in real time with others. Unlike other services, Radical Stations do not try to guess what music listeners might like based on a few song choices and subjective computer parameters. Instead, Radical harnesses the skills of the entire broadcast radio industry to divide its huge song library into professionally formatted Genres, similar to Satellite Radio, such as Rock, Pop, Hip-Hop, and Country. The Player allows users to blend as many Genres as they like, and then assign each Genre a value relative to the others. Since blending can be changed instantly, the result is an endless stream of exactly the kind of music the listener wants to hear at any given moment. Users can adjust ratios, add or delete Genres, as well as rate individual songs. Blocked (Artists/Songs) allows users to prevent specific songs or entire artists catalogs from reappearing on their Stations. </p>

<p>LiveShare (patent pending) makes every user the owner of a broadcast radio station filled with legal content, whose reach is only limited by the hosts popularity. LiveShare users can allow any number of friends to listen to their music stream in real time. A woman in Pittsburgh can share her music live with her husband stationed overseas, or Lady Gaga can have millions of fans tune-in to her station. A DeeJay function allows hosts to speak live to their audience via the microphone on their computer or Smartphone. The tools for inviting others to listen to broadcasts are similar to Facebook (regular Facebook integration is available as well). </p>

<p>Full Play-On-Demand functionality for a paid Premium tier will be launched later this year. Subscribers can create personal Playlists choosing from the most comprehensive library in the world (with over 12 million songs). Playlists automatically become available as Genres for use on My Stations, providing ultimate control of a personal music stream. </p>
